stretchiute Posted August 13, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Folks, We prefer cruises with more stops, fewer sea days. Is there a search/booking tool that allows you to search by number of stops? For instance 4 stops in 7 days? TIA :):)
Heidi13 Posted August 13, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Not aware of any online tool that will search for cruises using ratio of port days to sea days. Best resource is a knowledgeable travel agent. Unfortunately CC rules do not permit naming travel agents. Certain regions can have high ports, low sea days - Caribbean and Europe are a couple of examples.
stretchiute Posted August 13, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Thanks. I think I used one a couple years ago, but can't find it. Not seeking a ratio, but a simple filtered number like cruises with 4 stops or more..
Heidi13 Posted August 13, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Probably best looking for the ratio, as our next cruise has 55 ports, but is 119 nights. Have also done re-positioning cruises with 5 ports, but 15 days. You will find many cruises in Europe with no sea days or only 1 sea day, over a 7 to 10 day cruise. Good luck finding something. hallasm Posted August 13, 2018 #5 Share Posted August 13, 2018 I’m not aware of any tools. I also like sea days. My recommendation is Suez Canal, Caribbean from Bayonne or Transatlantic - also some reposition cruises have more sea days. You are able to search for those cruises. My best cruise was from Singapore to Barcelona - 23 days with only 6 stops - 15 sea days. Sent from my iPad using Forums
sanger727 Posted August 13, 2018 #6 Share Posted August 13, 2018 I don’t know of any search/booking tool like that, but mostly it will come down to what region you are searching in. Western or eastern Caribbean out of Florida will have more port stops than sea days. Eastern and southern Caribbean out of San Juan will have more port stops. Many med cruises will have more port stops. I know of one search tool that will let you specifically search for certain ports, but it’s a TA site so isn’t allowed to be mentioned. paul929207 Posted August 13, 2018 #7 Share Posted August 13, 2018 Many of the European cruises have more ports for the length of the cruise than Caribbean ones.
Rare Essiesmom Posted August 13, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 13, 2018 If you are sailing the Caribbean, cruises that embark in San Juan or another of the Caribbean islands, such as Barbados, will have many ports, few sea days. EM
stretchiute Posted August 14, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted August 14, 2018 Thank you! Sounds like there are some options to get more ports in. Also, looks like there is a tool that does what I want, but it can't be mentioned on this board :)
