Paradise Beach Review

We were on the Carnival Triumph, just got back this morning. On Monday we were at Paradise Beach. WONDERFUL! There were at least 4 ships in port and no crowds at all. The beach is beautiful, bathrooms clean, service was great. The taxi's all know where it is so it's very easy to get too. We had 2 chairs and an umbrella and a nice table in between. We used the mats to float on. We also snorkled and for all you snorkel fans, it was way better than anticapated. If you snorkel out almost to the bouys, there are a couple of coral heads. They are not very big, but there was a lot of fish around them. The day had started out rainy and cloudy so the water was a litle stirred up and choppy but you could still see very well. I saw some of the biggest conch I've ever seen. We saw parrot fish, angel fish, blue tangs, lots of juveniles of different kinds, and a nice variety of other small fish. We shopped first so we didn't get there until around 1pm. Our server was fantastic. Tom, I wish I would have gotten his name! Anyway, if you are thinking of going, do it, you won't regret the decision. Next time we're in Cozumel, we're going back. The nachos were great! Our total bill was $33 and we had several drinks and the food. Can't beat that! I'll be glad to answer any questions.

can't agree with you more- we were on the Summit and went to Pardise Beach last Sunday. Our day there was a highlight of our cruise. Met Tom at the dock where he was handing out cards to advertise the place. We walked up to him and he asked if we wanted to go to a great place for the day. We said we already had plans to go to a great place-Paradise Beach. Tom then introduced himself and we all had a good laugh. As soon as I mentioned my name, Tom recognized me from posting on this board. We took the short taxi ride to Paradise and had a fabulous time there. Thanks again, Tom

Paradise_Beach_Tom...Is the snorkeling equipment really free?? I have a poll up on the other site asking for votes for Paradise Beach vs. Mr. Sancho's. I have only had a few votes so far but Paradise Beach is leading almost two to one. We will be on the Elation sailing 7/18/04 and I think we get to Coz on 7/21. How is the food and drink at your place? I have read good things.

Yup!! Just a refundable deposit required. The food and drink are just as you read...delicious icon_biggrin.gif! Don't forget to order guacamole if you're a fan, 'cause I get asked frequently for the recipe and it's yummy! Adios

I had thought about going to PB on next cruise, but planned to also go to Chankanaab because of the snorkeling. NOW, I'm excited, after reading about the snorkeling! Will skip Chank this time. Definitely PB for me! THX!

To Tom at Paradise Beach, We were on the Carribean Princess on May 8-15, and stopped over in Cozumel on the 13th, and it was the best day we had. Paradise Beach is everything these boards say it was, and we couldn't have been happier. We took at taxi from the pier after we did all of our shopping ($12.00 to the beach), got there (around 11:00 a.m.) found plenty of chairs available. The service was unbelievable! We were so happy, we ordered our bucket of beer, had a dish of nachos, and kicked back and enjoyed the sun. It was by far the best beach we went to that whole vacation! We did see you come down to the beach arond noon, but we didn't get a chance to say "hello". Just wanted you to know that we were thrilled at the beach, the facilities, and the service. By the way, the nachos were out of this world! Please don't change a thing, cause we plan on coming back next spring!

We just returned from the Grandeur today. Went to PB last week. It was one of the nicest beaches I've ever been to. Congratulations to PB Tom and his staff. The facilities, food and drink are top notch.

I really appreciate the reviews of PB! Hubby and I going to Cozumel soon on RCCL Grandeur and wanted to do our own touring instead of choosing a ship excursion. We were looking for a beach- relaxing and full service. I have 2 questions- is it easy to catch a cab back to the pier at any time and is it not as crowded as some public beaches (ie. enough chairs for those who visit). The reviews are wonderful and we plan to be there in a week! MO

Paradise Beach Tom:

What are some of the amenties that you offer at PB? Can you scuba there? I will be in Cozumel in 20 days on the Explorer of the Seas. I have been trying to get a handle on the beach situationa and have read nothing but great reviews about PB. I think I may have found my spot.

Cotton...while that was a great review of our coral heads, remember the snorkeling area at PB is not that extensive. May I suggest going to Dzul-Ha 1st, then PB? That'll save you admission fee at Chank and the snorkeling is better at D-H anyway! PB is only about 3 miles from D-H, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds!

Harleyd101...Sorry we missed each other, but glad you loved our beach! Thanx for taking the time to write...see you next spring!

TIN CUP...hey!! I remember you guys...you made the picnic tables your base camp and you all were having a good time! Thanx again for the beef jerky!!

blklabfan...Thank you for the kind words, glad we made your day icon_smile.gif!

michelleorick...as it is LOW SEASON, there will be plenty of room for everyone at PB. We've gone from 35-40 ships a week to about 16-19. There is a taxi stand on the premises, so no worries about getting back!

giantsfan...you won't be disappointed, you'll have a great time here! You can scuba right next door...see ya soon!

Wow! I told my dh just some bits from what I've read here on CC, and we've decided to head for PB instead of Chank. Tom, I really appreciate your suggestion to go elsewhere to snorkel first. We have 3 kids ages 13, 10, and 6 who are novice snorkelers. Would you still suggest we go to DH first?

We don't drink alcohol, but we'll be sure to order our group virgin daqs and lunch at PB. I know I need the guac. Any other recommendations?

Question for you Tom.

Ive been to Nachi Cocom earlier this year, and had a great time. How does Paradise Beach compare to that. When we went to nachi, we both had an all iclusive deal for 28 bucks a person where we drank all we wanted. do you guys offer something like that, and if not, how are your drink prices?? With everyone raving, it sounds like a great place. Do they offer any parasailing or jet-skiing, and if so what are the rates? thanks for your time!!!!!!!!!

Just got back off the sensation and spent Thursday at Paradise Beach, cannot recommend too highly, we and the kid had a great time, especially the free Kayaks and snorkels. It is all that is described, food and drink good and reasonably priced, especially the nachos Met Tom who was a nice guy, genuinely cares about us all. One tip make sure you have small bills for the Taxis, they do not like giving change !!!

Another PB question: we will be spending at least part of the day at Chanakaab (dolphins and snorkeling - graduation gift), but reading about PB would like to get there too. We will be on the Sensation in July and have 12 hours. Is it doable? And how far is PB from Chanakaab?

Thanks.

My family and I went to Chankanaab in February and really enjoyed it. But now you guys are making me want to go to Paradise Beach. Chankanaab had one small sandy beach area my girls loved. But my husband preferred the snorkeling, while I liked to just soak up the sun. Is there a nice, sandy beach area for our girls? What else is there to do? Free snorkel gear and kayaks sounds great. Someone said something about a water trampoline. What's that? Any info. would be helpful since we have already booked the Conquest and will be headed your way.

Our group of 6 adults and 4 kids( 3 girls, 9, 11, 12 and boy 11) just returned from 6 days vacation at Cozumel. If you like snorkel and sandy beach, then Dzul Ha & PB. The foods and drinks at PB are good and prices are reasonable. If you want to rent wave runner, then San Franciso is just next door. We done many shores snorkeling from South to North part of town, Dzul Ha is the best. My kids did not want to swim with dolphin, so we did not go to Chankanaab park, that saved us $120 of admission fee and we still enjoyed the same thing at other places for free. If you have any questions, just post, I will try to respond if I know.
