Rare mom says Posted September 3, 2018 #1 Share Posted September 3, 2018 A question as to whether we can use the lounge on our layover. We have 4.5 hours between flights, flying out to Abu Dhabi. The flight is a Lufthansa flight number, operated by Etihad. But our ticket is P class, which I understand is a discounted business class ticket, without some of the perks. Will they refuse us entrance to the lounge?
CruiserBruce Posted September 3, 2018 #2 Share Posted September 3, 2018 You should be allowed access to the several Business Class Lounges.
Rare Hlitner Posted September 3, 2018 #3 Share Posted September 3, 2018 Most airlines are fine with "P" Class tickets in their lounges. Even Air Canada, which has very strict rules on access to their few Signature Lounges will admit "P" Class. The only restrictions we have seen are for upgrade tickets (obtained by miles)...and even that is pretty rare. To us, the more interesting issue has to do with code share tickets. For example, if one is flying on Virgin Australia and using a code share ticket issued by Delta (or another partner airline) will they allow entrance to a Virgin lounge? Wile the airlines generally honor tickets issued by their partners....this may not always be the case. Hank

We have flown in and out of FRA many times, on both LH and UA, and never had a problem getting into their Lounges.
