HAL future cruise deposit

I've booked a cruise in January with a future cruise deposit from a previous sailing.

Final payment is due next month but due to medical diagnosis and ongoing treatment I'm going to have to cancel.

Is my FCD transferable to another cruise or do I lose it?

Yes, it is. Just tell them to put it on hold for a future cruise. It's valid for 4 years.

Just had to do it myself because of medical reasons, no problem at all.

As you are in the UK I suggest you call HAL and ask this question.

 

In the US it would revert to your Mariner account unless the booking was with a 'non-refundable' deposit.

My experience of this is that .......it varies! And the T&C for Europe/UK are different to US terms

I had to cancel one cruise on medical grounds and it was not refunded.

The T&C are on the actual certificate.
