I believe this was one of the two nights we crashed early. We went to dinner, then we just walked around thinking we wanted to do something, but we decided to call it a night. Well we cashed too early because about 2-3am in the morning we both were awake. After about 1/2 hr of watching "tv", which by the way was not bad at this time of night. This was because they had funny videos on one of the channels every night. Next thing I know my DW came out of the bathroom dressed :o . She was like "I'm going to go get me some pizza do you want some", I'm like hell ya, man I love 24 hr pizza pirate. Now more about the TV channels, they did have a movie channel with some decent movies, but I think I watched one movie the whole two weeks. **Parental Advisory** They had a TNT channel with after a certain time (not sure what time), but it was uncensored. When I say uncensored I mean it was not just bad language, but nudity also. I know most kids are not up at those hours, but just wanted to put the warning out there just in case. Also do not forget they had a few CNN channels. So in the end, TV was not as bad as people make it seem, but then again it was not great either. Well we decided we better get some more sleep, and get ready for Skagway, good night.

Day #7 Skagway, one of our favorite ports last trip and this trip. Well we got up this morning feeling very good due to the fact of all the sleep we caught up on last night. I went out on the balcony to see what views we had and this is what I saw.

Next thing we did was headed to breakfast in the MDR. Once again we leisurely got off the ship, and once again no waiting we just walked off. Now they had shuttles that was taking us into the downtown area/ tourist area. When we walked up they had a bus there and was taking anyone that was willing to stand. My DW was game for standing, and I told my her let just wait for the next one, the buses are big and that was a short wait, and we will be first on the next ride. Well we (I mean...I:o) screwed up, because it took about 15-20 mins before the next one to show up:(. Not only was the shuttle company very disorganized, but people were just walking up acting like they did not know there was line to get in. All these people mobbed in one area and you did not know there was a line, give me a break. These same people when others were telling them the end of the line was way back there, conveniently could not understand English. It was only about a 5 min ride into the hustle and bustle. Next the DW wanted to look around and this is what she found a his/her under garments "fur-kini" for the ladies, and the "Duke" for the men...LoL

Then on to more window shopping.

Next was another highlight of this trip, well at least for me it was. It was "Skagway Brewing Co.", and this place was packed. When we got in they said the bar was first come, first serve so when we looked there was an empty seat then a customer, and then another empty seat:(. Well this guy was like here let me move down one so you can sit together which was awesome, thanks. Well I got a flight as usual (if I have never had the beers), and they had a great selection, so this place was right up my alley. They had pretty tasty beers here, I could of spent a couple of days in Skagway. Well the man who ended up moving down asked if I like fish and chips? (if you have been reading then you know my answer). I was like NO I do not like fish he was like too bad because this is "THE BEST" fish and chips I have ever had in my whole life, and he is in his 60's. In fact, this guy could not stop talking about it, you could buy a meal or get a single piece of fish. Well then we started to talk about the beers, and what I though of them. We both thought that all the beers were pretty solid. However, if you heard him talking I don't think the beers were as solid as the fish and chips....LoL. Well we finished our flights and found out we were in fact on the same ship and his name was Chip. He was like are you guys having another beer? We were like YES, but not here. He was like where you guys going next, and we were like the other brewery. :o There's another brewery :hearteyes:can I tag along, sure. So we walked down to brewery #2 "Klondike Brewing Co." they too had a good selection of beers to choose from, I once again got a flight. Klondike brewing had a coffee beer on tap (I'm not a huge fan of coffee beers), but to my surprise this beer was fantastic. Although, this beer was fantastic my DW and I, plus Chip all thought that Skagway brewing beers were better. In fact, they were so good that.... yep you guessed it we went back. The winner for me at Skagway brewing was the Blue Top Porter so I had two more pints. My wife loved the brewery because it was not "JUST BEER", she could get liquor also (she is not a huge beer drinker). Well by this time Chip and us had become friends talking about beer. Also, because you could buy the fish by the piece Chip got another one, still talking about how good it was. Well as you could imagine we were feeling no pain by this time and was ready to go back to the ship. So I will end this segment with pics.

I'm going to need that fur bikini.

Who'd have thought I'd use fur and bikini in the same sentence.

Ever.

Sorry I know this review is taking awhile, but just have been busy. So now let me try and figure were I'm at so I can continue. Oh yeah, we just got back on board. Well tonight at the AFT end of the ship was slightly different. There was no punchliner comedy, instead they had the karaoke contest. So this meant that there was nothing going on in the Cool lounge, and the El Morocco was the home of the contest. Well I did go to karaoke and entered the contest. Although I did not win I did get a participation metal. The rest of the night was the same we ended up in the piano bar, and from there casino bar. Well Izzi decided to get my DW a flower which she thought was cool. Then it was the pizza pirate then bed, good night. Here is some of the pics from the rest of the night.

I agree 100%!

Great balance of photos and text, and a great personality!

Please tell me you tried the barleywine and how was it? ;p

I most definitely tried the barleywine, even though it is not one of my favorite styles. OK here was our take on the barleywine. My DW absolutely loved it, I on the other hand thought it was a bit too sweet, for my liking. However, if you love barleywines you will probably love Skagway's.

Today is another highlight of this trip, Glacier Bay National Park (GBNP). This day we slept in :D, and we had breakfast in on the Lido deck. We liked the MDR better because one you get waited on and two the food was better. For instance, let us talk about the bacon, COOK IT MORE. When I say cook it more I do not mean so crispy that is falls apart when you touch it. I mean firm, not the fatty stuff they served. I well say though the omelet station was pretty good.We finished just as we were getting to GBNP and went out on the deck. Here we got some great pics from the Lido deck, but now it was time to get the full advantage of our AFT balcony. We even got better pics from this view. We got to see some sea otters at one point from our balcony, and lots of great views so Ladies, and Gentlemen I give you GBNP.

This pic is a piece of the Margerie glacier breaking off. We did get to see it fall, and my DW was snapping pics, but as you can see she just missed it.

Here are what I believe to be Sea Otters.

This pic here you can see the staff enjoying the views. A lot of them have never seen snow/ice before except for pics. In fact, our waitress Irma in the MDR had never seen snow/ice, and could not wait for the Alaskan views.
