sevenfish Posted November 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Hi Everyone! I am planning a cruise for 13 family members to sail on Norwegian Bliss in March. A few questions: 1. What is the best way to get the best price? 2. Is it more affordable to get a family suite for my immediate family(7members) or 2 adjoining cabins? 3. What is the best placement on the ship? I am assuming middle but not sure which levels we should consider. Any other tips I may have not thought of are greatly appreciated! It has been a LONG time since we have been on a cruise and we are wanting this to be very special for our parents 50th wedding anniversary. Thank you for your help! Rare Essiesmom Posted November 2, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2018 Welcome to Cruise Critic. Per forum rules, we cannot name or discuss travel agents/agencies. That said, the best place for information about NCL ships is the board here for NCL, located under Cruise Lines A-O. EM

I will also check out the NCL board. Thanks!
Sauer-kraut Posted November 3, 2018 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2018 Please shop around, you might get a better deal if you book as a group, for every 7 or 8 cabins you get one passenger free, or other benefits. If you search around the Norwegian website you will find the terms and conditions of a group booking. Well the suite would be excellent, however you need to understand the layout of the various grades as someone might end up sleeping on a fold out sofa in the middle of the living room. ALSO keep an eye out for Kids Sail Free offers which means that passengers 3-8 will be free and just pay port charges and taxes. Not sure what is being offered at this time. You can check out a few travel agents, ones that are well versed or cruise specialists will be your best bet. Check online prices as well as doing mock bookings on the NCL website. IF you do book a suite be aware that the Daily Service charge is higher than that for the regular cabins. Will others of your party feel left out if they don't book a suite and will miss out on the suite persk such as private dingin and butler servcie and if you boo a Haven Suite all the amenities that go with the haven. Middle and low will be the most stable, the family suites will be closer to the kids clubs. I really can't help too much with the BLISS so please do post your questions on the Norwegian board.
mjkacmom Posted November 4, 2018 #5 Share Posted November 4, 2018 We are a family of 7, connecting cabins has always been significantly cheaper than a suite.
SuiteTraveler Posted November 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 4, 2018 NCL's best prices are typically on the NCL website. Being in a The Haven suite on NCL gives you a lot of perks. I highly recommend it. You get stuff like: VIP Boarding lounge (after security) Early escort onboard Butler service concierge service access to The Haven, restaurant, lounge, pool and hot tub, gym, sundeck welcome aboard flowers coffee/tea/hot chocolate maker in room upgraded bathroom amenities afternoon hors d'ouerves free room service (everyone else pays per order) pillow menu DVD player (some suites have 2) DVD menu Priority tendering Priority disembarkation
