cruisegirl1 Posted November 18, 2018 #1 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Are there any age or height minimums or maximums for children to use the splash and children’s pool area on Harmony? Child is potty trained so that is NOT the question. thanks. M
GarlicBread Posted November 18, 2018 #2 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Not for the splash and pool areas. Slides yes. I believe it’s 42in and a max weight of 300lbs. But I could be wrong.
Andy C Posted November 18, 2018 #3 Share Posted November 18, 2018 Correct on the slides - it is an absolutely ridiculous 42 inch requirement. Although, no height requirement for the side by side slides in the area where the non-potty trained infants and tots can play.

Had a slight disappointment on Majesty as the child was too short for the kiddy slides but was potty trained and was not allowed on the slides in the non potty trained area. Thx m As long as they’re taller than 42inch they can use the slides in the potty trained area. Of they are potty trained they’re not meant to be in the baby area and may be asked to leave. chengkp75 Posted November 19, 2018 #6 Share Posted November 19, 2018 The only restriction for a child who is potty trained, and who uses the swim diaper splash area, is that they should use the deck showers in between going from the swim diaper area to the main kids splash area, as the water supplies are kept separate, and they don't want possible cross-contamination. Maybe for USPH rules, but Royals rules are that the baby splash is for diapered kids only.

This was our experience as well. We saw a 3 or 4-year-old playing in the smaller splash area with her siblings and a staff member came by and told her and her parents to ensure the child uses the shower when she goes to the other side or uses the pools. GarlicBread Posted January 8, 2019 #11 Share Posted January 8, 2019 Don't count on it though. I've seen lifeguards and deck crew patrolling telling kids not in diapers to get out. I've seen guests arguing that their kids weren't tall enough for the slides in the potty trained side and still told to leave. Depends on the complaints that cruise - if a parent of a little one has complained that the baby splash area is full of potty trained kids and they don't think it's safe or appropriate for their baby, they'll be on it and older kids will be asked to leave. If not, or parents have complained that their potty trained kids aren't big enough for the slides, they'll let them in.
