Check in when you first get email!

Got my first email November 6th that our Express Docs were waiting.  Been very busy with work and family, so it took a reminder email today to go do them.  No big deal, I thought.

 

ARGH!!!!!!!!!  My daughter's passport expired!!!!!!  I forgot that children's only last 5 years!!!  Face palm moment!!!  So I rushed to post office, mailed the expired passport to her college in Connecticut.  She can go to the post office on Tuesday and I will have to spend the additional $60 for expedited service.  We BARELY squeak within the 3 weeks estimated turnaround time.  

 

Really kicking myself for procrastinating getting those docs filled out!  LESSON LEARNED

Good lesson...everyone should know when their passport and driver’s license expires. If you can’t remember put a note on your calendar each year and a big star about 6 months before each of them expires.

Thanks, y'all.  Kinda needed the support.  Totally freaked me out this morning!  

 

Great advice, WyoBean.  It just didn't snap.  My husband, my 2 sons, and I all got our passports last summer, at the same time.  It just completely slipped my mind that my daughter had gotten hers in 2013.  Plus you think they last 10 years, but not for kids.  I knew that, but again just didn't click in my very cluttered brain.
