We often cruise X pre-holidays (between Thanksgiving and Christmas). You will find that the decorations increase each night, and each morning when you wake up there will be more and more surprises in store. By the time you reach the Christmas holiday the central staircase will be covered in decorations with gingerbread galore and trees, wreaths, and all the trimmings everywhere you look.

We got off on 12/9, and there was already a lot of decorations up.  Even some of the secondary public areas were decorated as well.  It was especially beautiful at night with all the lights on.  My wife and I even bought a photo of the two of us in front of the twin trees at the foot of the main staircase.
