EPIC Haven - 1st Time - Dining Reservations

I normally make dining reservations ahead of time. This will be our first time in the Haven (on the EPIC). We would like to eat at Cagney's the first night. From what I understand, the Haven guests usually have a get together the first night so we wouldn't want to have that conflict with our dining reservations. Are you able to ask the Concierge a few hours ahead of time (after you see schedule) to make a dining reservation and the speciality restaurants usually have availability for Haven guests? Thanks.

There is sometimes a Haven sailaway party, but no first night get together. 

 

The Concierge staff can make changes to reservations if you need. Unlike anyone else on the ship, the concierge staff can overbook a restaurant for Haven guests. But, like an airplane, there is a limit and if the restaurant is totally oversold, even the concierge can’t get you a table. 

 

That at being said, asking for a table a few days in advance had a lot higher probability of success than a few hours in advance. 

 

Enjoy the Haven!  The Haven on the Epic is the best in the fleet!

Thanks BirdTravels. I used your advice and made some dining reservations! Looking forward to the Haven on the Epic. I have read from several it is the best in the fleet.

If you ever have a conflict, the Haven restaurant is great. But since the menu does not change, we typically don’t eat there more than twice on a 7-day cruise. Too many other choices of places to eat. (Same is true of the Haven restaurant for lunch,,, embarkation day lunch and maybe one other day).

The Epic Haven is terrific. Our favorite suite experience which includes Posh (also known as the I know where my DH might be). We have changed our reservations once on the ship and there has never been an issue.
