luvSClake Posted January 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2019 We are planning to get the basic internet Pkg, just want to be able to check email each day. Is the access for our cabin, or specific to a person/device. We are leaving soon for the Western Caribbean, our last cruise was Alaska, so we didn’t have to worry about it, we just used our phones while in port. satxdiver Posted January 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2019 The internet fee allows one connection at a time from one device. Anyone who knows the logon and password can use the internet so you and your companion can share the internet one at a time.
-Lew- Posted January 11, 2019 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2019 It appears the OP is sailing on the Royal where we've found internet service to be quite good from just about anywhere on the ship. We also subscribe to AT&T's International Passport which gives us cell service while in port for $60 per month. That also worked very well for us in the Caribbean. OR_Cowboy_1952 Posted January 11, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 11, 2019 Just one caution. You time starts the moment you log onto the Princess system and only ends when you log off. If you are accessing email, download the important email, log-off, respond to the email and queue it up, then log on and send the email. Also try to avoid sending any big files, they eat time. Depending on the ship internet is not fast.

I checked with Verizon and we can use our travel pass while in port for $10 day so that will help. I will also caution my husband about being sure to log off after downloading any email.
