Hiring a Minivan taxi (for 7)

Is it difficult to find a minivan taxi to transport 7 (including two young children with car seats) at the taxi stand upon arrival? 

Also,

I'm coming in on Oasis (RCI). Anyone know what pier it docks at?

You will dock at International.

 

Easy to find taxi van - just ask the dispatcher, outside the port exit. There will be a board with fares posted, which will be per vehicle for different sized groups. May need to request one with working seatbelts.

Cozumel has tourism and customer service down to a science.  The taxi rates are posted, there will be a dispatcher standing next to it as the taxis line up in single file and wait to be given their customers by the dispatcher.  If you have a group larger than 4 people, they will call up the next van waiting in line, to the front to take you.  

FYI - all the taxis in Cozumel are privately owned, so they have to abide by the rules or they can't participate in system.  It is a huge business in Cozumel, with 3-9 cruises ships in every day except Sundays.  The whole island depends on tourism to feed their families, so you can bet everyone is friendly and will do everything to make you happy.

I would add an extra buck or two to the tip to make up for the time spent installing and uninstalling the car seats.
