Viator Shuttle - Southampton to Heathrow

Has anyone used this service?  I have a 2:30 flight from Heathrow and am concerned that I won't be able to walk off the Indy next May in time to catch the 7:30 National Express bus to Heathrow.  The next bus is at 9:30 and doesn't give me the 3 hour + window they recommend between arrival at the airport and my flight.

 

Anyway, this shuttle seems to be a middle alternative between the bus and a private car service.  The quote I got from Smithsforairports was one hundred plus pounds.

Viator is a broker  so probably using one of the local operators

Get a quote from Blackberry.  We have found they are cheaper than all the others we've gotten quotes from.

You don't need to be at LHR 3+ hours ahead, that's typical airport excessive caution. To allow for lines etc at the airport you should allow a min of 2 hours, though 90 mins is usually enough.

 

A bus at 9.30 will get you to LHR by 11.45, or earlier depending which terminal.

 

Catching the 7.30 bus is possible if you self- disembark (7am), but with a degree of risk

Yes, it's quite a distance, and that's what a private car service is going to cost.  And given your rather tight time frame, if you do decide on a car service, please know that Smiths is based in Southampton, whereas Blackberry is based in London.  We've used both, they are both good, but you might want to opt for the folks who are right there that morning.   They may be a little bit more expensive than Blackberry, but probably not in the grand scheme of things.
