bitsnscraps Posted February 4, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 4, 2019 We are leaving in a couple days to drive to our cruise and just now realized that my 10 year old sons belly has out grown his dress pants. He needs husky size and I don't have time to get them shipped to me and can't find any locally. Would a kid be turned away from elegant night wearing a button up shirt and black, dressier shorts (not jeans, not basketball shorts)?
lcpagejr Posted February 4, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 4, 2019 No worries....Your son will probably look better than some of the adults who come in with Tshirts, ball caps, shorts and sandles!!
Kermarkim Posted February 5, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 5, 2019 Carnival does not enforce a strict dress code on formal nights or any night for that matter. If you search this site, you will even find photos of grown men who showed up in shorts and sandals to elegant night and were not turned away. A few times I forgot to pack my son's suit and he was allowed in with a golf shirt and Kackys. He was like 12 or 13 and still was dressed better than quite a few of the guests. So don't stress. He will be fine.

riffatsea Posted February 5, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2019 I have seen adults in shorts being turned away from the MDR on elegant night. I don't think they will do that to a child.
