Pride of America - sports coat required in specialty restaurants?

No. Not required. You would be hard pressed to find anywhere in Hawaii you would need a sport coat let alone a tie. You will see a lot of untucked Hawaiian shirts and khakis around the ship at dinner (even in the specialty restaurants) which more than passes muster for the evening dress code.

I hope this is not too late for your cruise... I'm on the POA right now. Per the Freestyle Daily newsletter: "Dress Code: If choosing Liberty the main dining room or Jefferson's Bistro, we have a Resort Casual dress code. For men: a collared shirt, slacks and closed-toe shoes. For women: dresses/skirts, slacks and tops." I also noticed the sign in front of Jefferson's stated "nice jeans" are acceptable. Everyplace else is "freestyle".
