Pittypatbr Posted March 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2019 Is there any reason to bring a sports coat and/or tie on the cruise? Do any of the specialty restaurants require them, or will slacks and a dress shirt suffice? How about slacks and a polo?
CruiserBruce Posted March 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2019 I would be asking on the NCL board, as this is an NCL policy issue.
cccole Posted March 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2019 I hope someone who has been on the Pride of America will respond. I don't think I have ever seen mentioned that men wear sports coats on this cruise. Cherie
princeton123211 Posted March 22, 2019 #4 Share Posted March 22, 2019 No. Not required. You would be hard pressed to find anywhere in Hawaii you would need a sport coat let alone a tie. You will see a lot of untucked Hawaiian shirts and khakis around the ship at dinner (even in the specialty restaurants) which more than passes muster for the evening dress code.
mjc775 Posted May 25, 2019 #5 Share Posted May 25, 2019 (edited) I hope this is not too late for your cruise... I'm on the POA right now. Per the Freestyle Daily newsletter: "Dress Code: If choosing Liberty the main dining room or Jefferson's Bistro, we have a Resort Casual dress code. For men: a collared shirt, slacks and closed-toe shoes. For women: dresses/skirts, slacks and tops." I also noticed the sign in front of Jefferson's stated "nice jeans" are acceptable. Everyplace else is "freestyle". Edited May 25, 2019 by mjc775 Additional text
