So close to Elite..any suggestions to get there..

I was in a situation where I'd finish our January cruise 10 points short of Elite.  We live on the west coast, so a short cruise for status would have been hard on X (easy on Princess since they have about 6 ships in California, and lots of short cruises).  However, a month after final payment, the price of a Celebrity Suite (we were in a Sky Suite) dropped to within a couple of hundred of what we paid.  So we upgraded and now I'm elite.

We just need 3 more points to reach Elite after completing our 10 day HNL-YVR in April. We want to do a Trans Pacific so the status would help us with the drinks as no perks are given out. Any suggestions out there??

I believe a lot of us at one time were ever soooo close. Look at it this way, now you will have something new and different to look forward to on the cruise after this one.

Don’t cruise just to reach the next level.   It isn’t that important or changes much. We couldn’t wait to become elite.  Once we got there basically all of the benefits didn’t do much for us.   Our crusing experience didn’t really change much.

When we reached elite the classic bev pack was offered as a perk so the drinks didn’t mean or do much

We usually book Aqua so the elite breakfast wasn’t a benefit as we could also get the same from the buffet, spa cafe or main dining room.

the laundry is almost useless on a 7 day unless you take dirty clothes with you as it takes 3 days to get it back.

Service is great no matter would level you are.   No one gives better service because you are elite and they don’t care or notice and that is how it should be.  Treat the workers  with respect and  give them  a smile.    Found that works best.

Not complaining but just giving advice to not spend more money just to move up because the extra cost isn’t really worth it if that is all you want.

if you don’t have the drink pack and the next cruise is longer than 7 days than as others have suggested book a short cruise to get some of the extra benefits but  weight the extra cost to see if spending hundreds  of dollars extra to receive those benefits is worth it to cruise more spending money you haven’t planned on.

spend the extra  money on a cruise only if you want to cruise more

just being realistic and trying to help based on our experience since you asked for suggestions or help.

happy cruising 🌊🚢🇺🇸🌅
