Enchantment May 3-6, Port Canaveral to Galveston???

I sent this to RCI two weeks ago and did not get a reply.  Does anyone know this?  Or do you know where I can find this information?  Thank you.

 

Enchantment is repositioning from Florida to Texas.  The last cruise ends on May 3rd and then next cruise starts on May 6th.  What happens during that time?  Are there passengers on the ship?  I want to book the May 6th cruise but I am reading mixed reviews of how old the ship looks and the beds are not comfortable.  Will the ship get a good cleaning?  Just curious what happens during those three days.  Thank you so much.  I don't know where else to find this info.

I was on Navigator’s last cruise before she repo’d away from Galveston, also without passengers. I asked some of the crew the same question. They do clean some (but that is always happening somewhere on board), train, rest/downtime.

Interesting.  Thanks.  I have second thoughts of booking Enchantment.  The reviews are not the best about the condition of the ship.  I haven't been on a ship that small either.  (I've been wanting to give it a try.)

I don't know what to expect (we are going in August) but it is just a drive for us, the price was right (we even got our low fare reduced this weekend), and we had a casino credit to use.  I have never been on a less then a week cruise and haven't been on this small of a ship since the 80's. Hoping for the best but I can't forget that anytime on a cruise is better then having to round up food and cleaning.

One advantage of that May 6th cruise is you can go to your cabin as soon as you board. (assumption on my part)  We had a great cruise on Enchantment last Sept, I would happily cruise her again.

Good point!  I actually thought of that!  Unfortunately, now only cabins left are guarantee.  LOL.
