What to do around Anchorage

I will have 2 full days in Anchorage prior to starting my cruisetour.  I will be renting a car at the airport.  I am looking for ideas for things to do that are driveable from Anchorage.  I have previously done the Kenai Fjords, Alyeska and along Turnagain Arm.  I will scan this Alaska forum to look for ideas also.

Can't have too many drives down Turnagain Arm!  Another option is heading up to Matanuska Glacier for a trek with a guide. 2 hours north east.

Oh, much too early for good brown bear viewing at the salmon streams,  otherwise I was going to refer you to Rust's. They still offer wildlife adventures in May, you might check in with them to see. You have a lot of time in Anchorage so can spend an entire day getting out and about. They are a real safe air taxi and know the country.

On the way up to Matanuska Glacier for a trek with a guide stop by the musk ox farm in Palmer and Independence Mine (off the main road a ways & closed Mondays). That would make a great but long day.
