I have sailed with Carnival thrice and I’ve gotten 21 VIFP points. My next cruise is 4 days. Will I achieve the gold status (assuming they don’t stop the ships going into US ports)?

I believe if you hit gold during the cruise they go ahead and give you your perks. My understanding on the US port situation is they're scheduled to meet about it in June, so your cruise won't be affected. Have fun!!!

Llamabear has it right. If you're going to reach your next VIFP level at any point on a cruise, you're given that higher level for the entire cruise.

You have scheduled your next cruise perfectly in my book. Ideally, your 25th, 75th and 200th day should be the last day, or close to the last day, of your cruise.

You will be gold, but all you'll get is a pin. The free drink is only good on 5+ day cruises.
