sandrick Posted April 19, 2019 #1 Share Posted April 19, 2019 we will be on a Baltic cruise in August 2020. Will the sea view pool be open or will it be too cold. Thank you.
kentuckycruiser Posted April 19, 2019 #2 Share Posted April 19, 2019 (edited) It was open for us last July. It was hot outside! I had packed all these pants and long sleeve shirts and got stuck wearing a few outfits over and over because it was so much warmer than expected. Nang Posted April 19, 2019 #3 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Only ever seen pools closed due to rough seas and maintenance. They are heated, and I assume open no matter what the temperature.

If it is realistically warm, it will be open. If it is cold, it will be closed. But, generally, they keep the Lido pool warmed enough you will be able to swim, even if it is cold out, and the roof is closed.

Think you may have misread these posts - its not about the roof but about whether the pool itself is available or "open" for use (but I do agree with you about the roof!) Krazy Kruizers Posted April 19, 2019 #6 Share Posted April 19, 2019 The pools were open but very few people used the aft. Mainly because on our cruises it was chilly in the Baltic and when you got out of the aft pool, the cold would make you shiver. Most people used the Lido pool. catl331 Posted April 19, 2019 #7 Share Posted April 19, 2019 Just checked pictures from our late August cruise: I have pics of people swimming in the Lido pool with the roof open, and pics of people sunbathing at the aft (sea view) pool, but none of anyone in the aft pool. I can't comment on the water temps, as we don't use the pools on cruises.
