Port Canaveral Cruise Port - Carnival Sunshine

Recommended Posts

Just thought I'd let everyone know that you must show your boarding pass and identification (passport/driver's license, etc) to security before you may even enter the terminal. Not sure if this is well known but this was different than other cruise ports we've visited where you do not need that to simply get in the building.

We always have to do it at the Port of Tampa which is where we cruise out of the most. Most recently on the Miracle in April. There are staff stationed outside the terminal who ask to see your boarding pass and passport. Once you do that, you go inside and go through security and then on to check in.

To add to the list, we have cruised out of Miami twice the last two months. Both times we had to show boarding passes and passports outside the terminal. That was also our experience at Canaveral in February and Tampa in December as others have already mentioned.
