I've enjoyed very much following along! Do you recall which buffet had the fancy cakes on display and what time of day? Was it listed in the program and I missed it?

My pictures were taken on our last sea day around 12:15pm  So they must be set up after the buffet closes for lunch.  I was in the YC and they also put several special cakes out from 12 -3:30.  Some was left and was used during tea time.  I didn't see anything in my daily about it.  Was told to go check it out!!!

It was during lunch in the Marketplace Buffet.  There was no indication in the daily planner, so it could easily be missed if you go to Biscayne instead.  The nice designs were mad by Venchi (Minion, truck, etc.)  During the week, we frequently saw them work on new designs in Venchi.  It was one of my favorite ways to pass the time.  They are so talented!

APDMOM, what a great review! Just caught up with it.

I do have a question......what is the water, tea/coffee situation in the MDR ? Is it included for everyone or just for those with drink package? Do they serve tap water with meals in the MDR like normal cruise lines do or does one have to buy bottled water because they don't serve tap water?

We leave next Saturday.

Please could you snap a couple of photos of the 2 sets of draft beer taps in the sports bar? Thanks.

@ssmea03  I am sorry this request came a little bit late.  We got off the ship yesterday. Hopefully a future cruiser will see this and post the photos for you.

Hi, Arzeena,

You can get regular ice water in the MDR, as well as regular tea and coffee for free.  It is the same as other cruise lines.  Just let your waiter know you want the free water, although they automatically gave that to us the first night.  🙂 Enjoy your upcoming adventure!  I wish we could join you!!!

Great pics and review! Would the menus from the MDR be the same on the Seaview right now?

@petuniaflower  Yes, they should be the same, as these are from the past two weeks.  They may have minor changes if availability is different, but the majority of items should be the same.

We also had the privilege of a birds-eye view of a US military Vessel - Even though I was not born in America, I am a loyal naturalized citizen.  I gratefully salute our military men and women for their service.  I am thankful that I am allowed to live in this country!

Views from DH’s perspective:

My husband decided to take some candid shots, even though he does not usually take ANY pictures.  These are from his iPhone.  I should have technically embossed them with his name, but we have been married for 19 years... his stuff is my stuff.  😂

Tip:  The only place to get soft serve ice cream is in Biscayne for lunch, and they are mostly open on sea days.  That is a bit disappointing.  They were open in Nassau too, though!

However, our cruise ended with this beautiful ray of sunshine.  We were walking past the Seaview Lounge when a staff member asked us if we would like to attend a private party and concert.  I decided I had nothing to lose, and am so glad I walked into that lounge!

Lena Burke was born to be on the world stage!  This intimate setting was excellent to experience her passionate performance and excellent music.  I am learning Spanish, and it was so much fun to listen to her Spanish songs.  What a highlight at the end of our 14 days!

Favorite Appletini!

I love an occasional Appletini, and would usually order one or two per cruise.  This was my first one on this cruise, and I am sorry I had waited until the last night!  It was the best Appletini I ever had.

Disembarkation:

The process was very smooth.  We had an assigned time of 7:45 and our color was called about 15 minutes late.  The worst part of disembarkation was the line getting off the ship.  It seems like more and more people do self-assist, which slows the process down due to large suit cases and self-assist passengers leaving at any time they choose.  However, it was still pretty painless.  Facial recognition was very effective, and we were out of the building within 10 minutes of leaving the ship.  We parked at the port, as we have found this to be the safest way for Miami.  I hope there will be better options in the future, but for now this is all we feel comfortable with.

The App - MSC for Me:

We found the app to be very helpful.  Although my hair appointment did not show up in the app, all our shows and dining appointments synched without problems.
