Long Beach Car Rental

Are there car rental companies at or near the port in Long Beach from which you can walk to the ship or take a shuttle?

I know not all ports have car rental places nearby...

I wanted to get a car in LA and then day of cruise just drive to the port, drop it off and go to the ship.

There are 4  popular car rentals that are on Ocean Blvd that are about a 40 minute walk.  Don't know if any will pick you up at the cruise terminal.

What day of the week is your cruise out of Long Beach? In your research, be sure that the office is open on Sundays, if need be. We rented a car once in Long Beach and they were closed Sundays.

It's on Saturday. The location is open.
I'm interested in Avis. So the only question is do they shuttle from their office to the port or do I have to get an Uber.

Tried calling them but no answer.

I believe that Enterprise will shuttle you to the port, but I am not sure. Their telephone number is 562) 495-1149. You can always take a taxi or Uber.

Don't know how much luggage you have, or if the Passport Shuttle allows luggage, but it goes for free from the Queen Mary to Downtown Long Beach.

 

Worst case scenario, one person could go get the car and return to pick up the other.

 

Me? I'd just Uber.
