UK website credit card issues

Hello fellow travelers

Some information to help anyone else having an issue with adding a credit card during on line check in. I was trying to complete on line check in, put in my card details and got a message to say "there is an issue with the payment method please contact Norwegian"  So I did, I spoke to the reservation department and apparently there is problem at their end - just choose cash as the option and give your credit card when you get to the pier was the advice I received.

I'm in Bermuda, using NCL.com (USA). I have never been successful in entering our credit card numbers during the Check-In, so I end up selecting Cash as our method of payment on ship.

 

Then when we go to terminal to check in we present our credit card.

 

P.S. the error message you received was exactly the same I got.

I'm in USA, but I don't want to add my credit card on line for check in.  Besides not wanting to put more info on line than I have too, I have more time to decide which credit card I want to use for that cruise.   I always say 'Cash' and then have no problem or delays giving them my credit card at the port.

Peculiar!!   We always say cash and then either dump a load of cash at guest services on boarding or put a credit card when checking in.
