Formal nights

Does NCL still have formal nights? If so, how many on a 7 day cruise (Getaway). Thanks!

Not required.  They normally have a "Dress up or not" night on the first full sea day.  Some dress, but most do not.

There are no formal nights on NCL ships. NCL embraces the freestyle cruising philosophy of “dress up or not”. 

 

Shorts are allowed in all restaurants for all meals except Ocean Blue and Le Bistro specialty restaurants where gents are asked to wear long pants (jeans, dockers) and a collared shirt (polo shirt, Hawaiian shirt).

The closest anyone gets to a "Formal" night on NCL is the evening when the Captain is present in the Atrium for photos to be taken.  Lots of people dress a LITTLE more formally for that photo and then go to dinner.

Thanks for the replies. Is the dress uo or not night just once on a 7 day cruise? Cruise will have 2 sea days.

Usually just once
