Transportation from Auckland Airport

Hi, we arrive in Auckland at 5:30 pm on a Tuesday.  Is there a train or shuttle from the airport (terminal 1) to the Grand Mercure Auckland hotel?  Appreciate any info.  Thanks for your help!

No train. You can either catch airport shuttle. Taxi. Uber,

The Air bus was good for the two of us, much cheaper and just as easy.

I've no experience of using the Airbus, but for some years now have used Supershuttle ( supershuttle.co.nz ) and found them extremely good and inexpensive.  From the airport to the cruise terminal the passengers are mostly going to the cruise ship, but they do stop at hotels on the way.  When a ship is disembarking in Auckland it is also a good and fast service as everyone seems to want to go to the airport.  You can pre-book and pay, but I've noticed many just turning up and paying the driver by cash or credit card.

We arrive in Auckland quite early on a Sunday (Dec 1) at 5:30am...will there be roadworks to deal with getting to the M Social hotel? We were just planning on an Uber from the airport.

We also use super shuttle as it will drop off at hotel door rather than at bus stops.

If in a group the super shuttle is extremely inexpensive.  The bigger the group the cheaper the ticket.

Hi, thank you all for responding.  There are just two of us so we’ll probably take the Sky bus.  Good to know there are several options!
