Question on Dining Plan Use in Pinchos or Food Republic

I understand that when you use your Dining Plan at Pinchos or at Food Republic that you are allowed to order 4 menu items.

 

Does anyone know if it is possible for 2 people to go to Pinchos or Food Republic and only order 4 items total (2 items each) so that only 1 dining credit is used?

We just did that on Escape.

We did that in Food Republic on the Escape.

We did that in Food Republic on Encore TA for lunch - twice. We took turns using one card for 4 items for the two of us.

 

Then we went back one night and used both SDP and had 8 items. One of our favorite restaurants.

We did it on the Joy for lunch. 4 dishes is actually plenty of food for two people. And they allow you order anything (e.g., if there is a base item with an extra cost to add shrimp, we added shrimp and it was free).

We asked two different times on Encore last week, and were denied. "That would be sharing, and you aren't allowed to share."  Interesting to see that others' mileage varied.  We dined there 3 times: We each used meal credits the first 2 visits for a total of 8 items each visit, then we paid for the 3rd time.
