HabsFan23 Posted January 2, 2020 #1 Share Posted January 2, 2020 Hi! I'm cruising with my 8yo in April 2020 - what kind of activities do they do in the kids' club? I'd hope they have sports and go to the slides, etc. Thanks! Jen
1025cruise Posted January 2, 2020 #2 Share Posted January 2, 2020 While I have no direct experience, I can tell you they won't be leaving the kids club area. Definitely not to the water slides.
kitkat343 Posted January 3, 2020 #3 Share Posted January 3, 2020 (edited) I don't know about RC specifically, but some of the cruise lines take the older kids on a scavenger hunt. Cunard took my kids out to see the waterfalls during the sail out in Geiranger (the ship is usually on a world cruise, and very rarely travels to Norway. The kids club counselors were very excited about leaving the ship in the morning to do excursions, so I think they wanted to see the waterfalls in the sail away too!). There were two counselors and four kids, so it was totally safe even taking my 2 year old. If there were more kids, I don't know if they would have made that decision. But no, as 1025 cruise noted above, it is extremely unlikely a kids club would ever go anywhere near water. It's just too much liability if anyone gets hurt. Rare Itchy&Scratchy Posted January 3, 2020 #4 Share Posted January 3, 2020 in my experience, the only time kids got to go outside and play during kid's club was on Norwegian Jade. Not near the water - at the basketball court.
cb at sea Posted January 5, 2020 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2020 Any pool activities will have to be with you. Other than that, they have age-appropriate activities....games, etc.... Your child doesn't have to be there during ALL open hours, so you can change it up as you see fit!
