TowandaUK Posted February 9, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2020 We are going on a Mediterranean cruise and will be using euros in ports. We are from the uk so will not have $ with us. We always prepay gratuities but may wish to tip in cash to those that have been particularly helpful. I know onboard is in $ but that all purchases onboard go through the account. Would it be ok to tip in €. Would the crew be able to use these?

JF - retired RRT Posted February 9, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 9, 2020 Someone posted in a thread yesterday that the crew can change currency on the ship for no fee. Use any kind of money that you have.

weedpindle Posted February 9, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2020 Cabin steward & bar personnel get to keep all extra tips. ALL food service personnel must turn in all extra tips to the fleetwide pool.
