yoolykeme Posted February 12, 2020 #1 Share Posted February 12, 2020 (edited) I know that this is an easy question that someone knows.... Last time I went to Civ on NCL, I had a private transfer get us from the port to the Vatican. Of course, it picked us up right at the ship. On the way home, we too the train from Rome to Civ. We just started walking, until we were deep in the port and didn't know how to get back to the ship. We thought that there would be a shuttle inside that rounded all the docks, but I guess not. I went into an office, and no one spoke English. Mom and I ended up walking all the way back to the ship, and Mom got really mad at me lol. So the question is.....when you get off the train at the Civ station, how do you get back to the ship? is there a shuttle or something? mapleleaves Posted February 13, 2020 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2020 (edited) We were on the Epic in Sept and stopped in Civi. There was a port shuttle that took us to the Port entrance (Largo Della Pace ), where we boarded another bus that took us to the train station. We were lucky that the buses arrived within minutes of each other, on both trips, so no waiting. https://civitavecchia.portmobility.it/en/civitavecchia-train-station Edited February 13, 2020 by mapleleaves
euro cruiser Posted February 13, 2020 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2020 There is a local bus from the train station to Largo della Pace, or you can book the Trenitalia bus when you book the train ticket. It's 2 euro either way you do it.
XuGator Posted February 13, 2020 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2020 If you pack light -you can also just walk 10-15 minutes to Largo Della Pace and get on the shuttle to your cruise ship.
euro cruiser Posted February 13, 2020 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2020 For perspective, it is 1.5 k/0.9 miles on foot from the front of the train station to the bus stop for the free shuttle buses at Largo della Pace. It's a flat walk with sidewalks the entire way, in practically a straight line.
