I love the butter on cruises!! It is one of the things I am looking forward to on our Alaskan Cruise in July.  Thanks for this great thread of conversation.  It has started by day off with a laugh.

You can have as much butter as you please in the MDR.  All you have to do is ask.  I always ask for the pads of real butter.  Never been turned down.

Back when I was my 20's. I would drink Bavarian heavy cream. It was a thicker half & half right from the milk type container. 😋

no  more. Now it's butter, pureed peas , pureed carrots w/a little orange I think. Sometimes a beet puree.  I sorely miss the hummus.

I can't believe I just read 7 pages about butter and no one asked this question-is the butter salted or sweet? I like salted butter so I always put salt on my butter if it's not salted.  Do I need to bring my own salt shaker?

He doesn’t get an immediate commission, but he does get a draw.

It’s known as the drawn butter account.

no. they have salt shakers. butter in the dining room is unsalted.
