Right now nations are very leery of foreign travelers.  Think this will continue for a long time? 18 months? We just booked an October Hawaiian cruise, but it only goes to two nations, Canada and the US. It might be a long time before nations want tourists again. Especially small countries with inadequate medical facilities.

Agree, depends on vaccine availability,  but I also have to imagine so many economies will be hurt by the lack of tourism. Might be tempted to open borders sooner.

Looking at it from the other direction, I will be surprised if there are many people who will want to venture into countries where the medical situation is marginal.....regardless of whether or not their borders are open or closed.

 

I love to travel, and have for sixty years, but for me, this is a good time to think twice before striking out again... to anyplace.

It will totally depend upon how badly the countries need the tourist money.  That is the way it has always been and that it the way it will always be.
