Just rebooked using Future Cruise Certificate and have?

I rebooked cancelled March cruise using my FCC, price for new cruise a little less than the cancelled one, but they made me pay $178. For port  fees? Was that correct? I thought that would have been incorporated from cancelled cruise? Just curious, thanks for any input.

You should have gotten a cash refund for your taxes and port fees as this is not included in the FCC amount as the monies are not part of RCI's revenue stream.  If you read the fine print, FCCs cannot be used for taxes, fees, cruise planner purchases, gratuities, insurance, or deposits (although sometimes RCI looks the other way on the deposit issue).   The agent was correct.

 

After your cruise is completed you will receive a new FCC for the extra funds from the first one (The expiration date will remain the same).

The fcc you received was cruise fare only right?

Were you refunded your port and transfer taxes to your credit card?

Same thing with new booking you sti have to pay the taxes and use the fcc for cruise fare.  That is my understanding although things have changed so I could be wrong.

That is still the case, nothing has changed.
