Loch Linnhe is beautiful.  We stayed in a perfect B&B overlooking the Loch not long ago.

Not east coast, Bonus points is you name the bird. I'm pretty lucky to get that shot, you rarely see them flying.

Not an Osprey, this bird is much larger, and uses a much different fishing technique.

I believe Ospreys are a bird of prey.

Lyle's bird looks very similar to egrets I see where I live. I'll guess its an egret rather than a heron.

It is a Great Blue Heron, and the fact it is flying was lucky, getting the shot was not. So now we have the bird, where was it?
