Beautiful ship and our service was fantastic. We found the food very good throughout the ship and had fun in the casino. there are hundreds of reviews here and also go to Carnival Roll Calls and check the Triumph - as you will get many good thoughts, as well as some bad about the ship. I have lots of recent photos from December below

We leave on the Triumph in about a month...and are getting very excited:p . BettyB is right, check out the boards and her pictures (they are fantastic) about this ship and you will find alot of great info - both good and not so good. I try not to read to much into the negative - I am on vacation with my husband and friends and even if some things are not that great...We will still have a fantastic time!!!! and so will you!!!

I've spent 3 weeks on this ship in the past year and loved every minute. I had an oceanview room last march (QA deck) and we were quite happy with it. In November we did a back to back with a balcony on the Lido deck and really got spoiled.

half of the fun is in the itinerary, you didn't mention if you're going eastern (st. thom, st. maarten, san juan) or western (GC, jamaica cozumel).

we sailed her turkey day. the ship has just been refurbished is fun, whimsical and not all that old vegas flashy style. The night life is incredible with so many shows, bars, karaoke, the sing along bar. The daytime is FILLEd with both outside deck activities, a quiet pool in back and a ton of inside activities too.

Our service was questionable, but know that it was a new crew only two weeks out... CCL does generally provide excellent service. bartenders know your drinks and show up majically for "refill' times, others are mistaken for being pushy as they're just trying to keep you relaxing in your seat and aviod the walk to the bar trip.

the deck party with the congo line is a MUST do. eveyone gets involved being split into 3 groups based on colors and competes throughout the cruise from survivor, hariy chest, boat building, and even the congo line!

the more you get involved the more fun you'll have... or at the same time, there are ample places to find quiet get aways at ALL hours if relaxation is your goal. I loved the triumph for these things mentioned, loved our balcony.... and the new kids club, club 02 seems to be quite a hit!

e-mail me with ?'s if you've got 'em... we did eastern itinery and have pics if you want the link.

Carol, We are doing the eastern itinerary in March and I would love to have the link of pictures. What did you do in San Juan at night and on St. Martin. We have a tour w/Godfrey on St. Thomas so that is covered. Just not sure what to do in the other 2 since this is our first 7 day cruise...Thanks for any insight that you can give ;)

Just returned from the Triumph 1-28-06. Food was good (except the buffet which grew tiresome) I thought the nightlife was a little slow the guy in the piano bar "Nicolas" was pretty bad and I was really looking forward to the piano bar! The live band in the bar across the hall was excellent.

We did the Eastern Caribbean and love all the ports but San Juan which is really sort of a waste.

The pace of night life varies cruise to cruise as it depends on the guests each week. "Sir Nicholas" is a good friend of mine and usually does an awesome job, I can't believe it would be "bad"..maybe he had an "off" night (or Cruise). He usually has that little bar packed!!!(Gotta love his Aussie accent!!)

One floor was deck 6. go to the front of the ship and on each side there is a door. I think 7 and 8 had them too but when you are out there you can go up or down stairs to the decks that have secret doors. You can look up to see the bridge and down to see the crew deck. Remember ladies -tuck in your shirts because mine blew up before I noticed the bridge above-they were laughing.

Check out the deck here

hey, we didn't research st. martin that much so we booked the ship little divi bay beach break. The price was good(check CCL web site) it was sold out so you couldn't just catch a taxi and show up there... "guard" preventing taxi's. We know san juan very well from previous cruises but you don't need to. we wanted the bio-bay but the moon wasn't right and it wasn't offered. so we took the kids and gang and walked around, there will be quite a few vendors set up if there are 4 or more ships in port, plus your local restaurants, only a few trinket (usual souvinere) places open. but the hard rock is open. the streets are generally safe if you avoid deserted ones as there are usually 3-4+ ships in port with 300 pax. each wandering arround.

here is a link to the pics (know that there are a ton because our friends and family wanted to view them and I saved them a bit big (new to this). We've been to san juan 4 times so if you have intrests let me know. I also have a way too long review (14 pages here) check the reviews, then click on member reviews....

http://photobucket.com/albums/c207/nimbex1970/ many pics of us here, sorry but just skip through, I think the first ones, san juan, than st. thomas.... FROM page 7 is st. maarten divi beach break.

e-mail me with any ?... but I only check once a week.
