The first time I was in Key west was back bbn in 1978...I have been several times since..only driving down & staying in hotels.  I was surprised ships stopped there....and now thes ed mega ships.

.it ruins the experience.

Funny thing is that these mega ship corporations try to mimic  the island/ key west feel onboard their ships.  It's like going to Disney world & then say no need to go tty o Europe to see the Eiffel Tower.

PS..Slopp Joe's was doing quite well back in th 1980's without  cruise tourist & be more authentic w/o them.

Sorry.  I did see your response, but I did not click on "expand".  I did not realize that you had posted a response, but did wonder why you had quoted the photos.  I apologize for my failure to see your post.
