Yes - the several I've spoken too - from several different European countries - said they couldn't see any advantage in going home.  We also allowed those that wouldnt normally be able to work to work in hospo. Many have their own  vans so so long as they can work they are doing fine. And there's heaps of work - huge shortages in seasonal fruit picking and hospo

This does not surprise me. I've read a lot of articles of countries who are doing the maths of what tourism is costing vs what it brings. It seems a lot of countries would not like to go back to business as usual but would like to find something that has better value and balance for their destinations.
