xcell Posted January 17, 2021 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2021 I have a cruise booked out of Miami August 2021. Doesn't look like Canada will have us all vaccinated until Sept/Oct this year and even with that, only adults and kids, so I am not hopeful on going. Let's say the cruises start again in the US, but there's a rule that we cannot travel without vaccinations, now what? Especaily, if kids are not part of the vaccination group? Right now, they don't allow for us to drive to the US, only fly. I think the US wants a covid negative test to get in and Canada wants one to get back. Do you think our trip cancellation insurance would cover?
d9704011 Posted January 17, 2021 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2021 Who is the insurance with and what does the policy say? If it’s like my travel insurance, unless you purchased the cruise, flights, hotels and whatever else you may need prior to the government’s do not travel advice last March don’t count on it. Rare mom says Posted January 17, 2021 #3 Share Posted January 17, 2021 Depends on the insurance company. Some Canadian travel policies cover covid related issues, others don't. Read your policy. Right now it's too far out for anyone to know what entry and return restrictions may or may not be in place, or what the ship boarding requirements will be.
