The last time I looked at Disney fares, my suite for an upcoming RC cruise was cheaper than a Disney interior room.

7-night cruises in shoulder season (which is when we travel) are about $1000-1500 difference for same room class. Just adding the soda/soft drink package to our room (of 4) brings difference to $500-700, which given how good the food and service are, it is worth it to us. But Royal ships are way funner for our family, so we take Royal every other trip to mix things up. Looking forward (fingers super crossed CSO will be relaxed) our Odyssey trip in the fall.

Disney is more expensive than Royal, no doubt. But people get sticker shock w/o realizing fare includes unlimited soda/soft drink package for every passenger, completely free room service regardless of time of day, not having to spend hundreds on specialty dining, better allowance for bringing alcohol on board. So I would say the net price ratio is more like 3:4 rather than 1:2

none of which we need, especially at these exorbitant prices.
