FLL to South Beach Hotel transportation

We've been trying to find something somewhat economical to get us from FLL to our south beach hotel for a pre cruise stay next Jan.  The one we used last time QLS seems to be out of business.  Uber looks like around $90.  Any ideas????

Sorry to interject, but another CC member suggested it could be more economical to stay at an airport hotel then go to the pier.  Some FL hotels have shuttles possibly free. Do the Math?  Less faff?

A little looking around the board would find many vendors mentioned...besides QLS, there is Jiffy Jeff, SAS, Larry's Limos, GO Shuttle, and a couple others. However, nobody can say if they are in business or not. It was a surprise you say QLS is out of business, but given the situation, probably not a huge surprise.

Pre-virus the UberX fare would have been about $35+ - where did you get the $90 estimate? 🤔 Even UberXL or a van taxi should only be about $75+.

 

For under $5 you can ride the Tri-Rail from FLL to MIA, and then catch the Airport Flyer bus to South Beach for about $3; dirt cheap but you will spend 2-3+ hours hauling your bags around.

 

I would also contact your hotel to see what they suggest.  Have a great cruise! 😎
