May need to cancel after final payment. Future cruise credit?

I am booked on vista for July 10 obviously paid in full. I am having a personal issue that may cause me to cancel trip. I’m not sure how carnival handles that right now. Would I be completely out of my money or would I get a credit to use in the future? Btw I know I should call carnival, but physically can’t right now. Just looking for other people’s recent experiences.

Maybe claim a issue with covid? Idk. There was a time you could cancel, but someone else tried and was told regular cancellation terms apply. Within 30 days of cruise. I'd call asap as soon as you are sure, but maybe nothing you can do. I wouldnt say it was your health when I called. Out of luck.
