Looking for a restaurant recommendation

for Sitka. My husband has stated that all he wants is good crab legs. Any thoughts on this? We leave Sat and I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row, so to speak! 😉

I think if you post on the Alaka board, you will get recommendations from EVERYONE  who has been to Sitka. Perhaps even some locals. And maybe some discussions already exist on the topic.

Actually the Alaska board is not very active this year.  With the Nieuw Amsterdam cruisers reporting weekly from Alaska on this HAL website Tracy’s Crab Shack seems to be the best but it’s in Juneau at the dock.

Why wait until Sitka? In Juneau Tracy’s Crab Shack serves up some very good crab. Very short walk from ship. Latest live from @Lafinvegas has pictures of the crab from there stop this week,

I also have to recommend Tracy's Crab Shack in Juneau.  There's two locations (one right near the base of the tram and one over by the coast guard building).  When we were there a couple of weeks ago, only the one near the coast guard building was serving Alaskan King Crab, which is what I had come for.  I had it on my last cruise to Alaska and it was as good as I had remembered.  It was pricey but definitely worth it.  If you're looking for other types of crab, the location near the tram base had a bunch of options.  I highly recommend them.

We went to Beak Restaurant. At the end of Lincoln St., it is very small. And they have a no-tipping policy. We enjoyed our meal. Great atmosphere, in an old house that also houses the public radio station!
