Insurance and Covid testing

I'm sure it's mentioned, but I have no idea where to find the answer.  Would someone please share the cost of the test if insurance didn't cover it?  I just saw on the news that people have been charged hundreds of dollars.  I have Medicare and Plan F, so I'm hoping to be fully covered, but who knows.

It depends on where you get the test. Some states have testing sites with no charge.  Independent labs generally don’t accept insurance but you can file on your own and depending upon your insurance it could be covered.  We did the online proctored tests so we purchased 6 tests and split them with another couple.  That gave each couple 3 tests, 2 needed and a spare in case 1 was defective.  The split cost for 3 was about $85 per couple.  Compared to the cost  of the cruise and air fare, plus the convenience it was a no brainer.

The home tests sold by Celebrity are 69.99 for 2 tests or $99.99 for 3 (plus taxes).

I had one done at a local clinic for $99.00 but has gone up to $129.00

Many of the ones at CVS and Walgreen are covered by insurance.

I just finished filling out Insurance Reimbursement forms for the tests I had taken.
