drewdrewcruiser Posted November 7, 2021 #1 Share Posted November 7, 2021 I purchased a gift of OBC for my friends thru the NCL website. They are on board now and haven't received anything about it in their cabin. Does anyone with experience with this know when the gifts are distributed? Shellbelle28 Posted November 7, 2021 #2 Share Posted November 7, 2021 Have they checked their on board account? I had a gift of credit and I saw it on my account and listed in my "amenities" in my Cruse summary on line.
hawkeyetlse Posted November 7, 2021 #3 Share Posted November 7, 2021 There's usually a card waiting for them in the cabin, but the OBC should appear automatically on their account on the first day. If there's still nothing tomorrow, tell them to go to guest services with the confirmation.

I'll tell them to go to guest services if they don't see it tomorrow.

Rare mking8288 Posted November 8, 2021 #8 Share Posted November 8, 2021 Usually, should be waiting in an enclosed envelope, placed in their stateroom on embarkation day but ... sometimes, not show up until Day 2 unless it was "lost" or delivered to another stateroom incorrectly. As others said, go to Guest Services on Day 2 when they aren't as busy, mid/late morning or afternoon and check - if you have a confirmation email or e-receipt, forward that to the party being gifted to trace it as a point of reference. Once it is posted & credited against their onboard account, it can be applied & used to offset (most) charges ... until the morning of disembarkation (and, hopefully & most likely ... resolved and corrected before that - lines at Guest Services get crazy long as it get closer to disembarkation - folks with all kinds of (unresolved) billing issues & charges will be standing in line. Onboard charges, debits & credits, adjustments, etc. are typically updated late night and should be reflected in the NCL mobile app or interactive stateroom (TV) account via the remote control - scroll thru the menu options. RumRunner2021 Posted November 8, 2021 #9 Share Posted November 8, 2021 I'll just go ahead and state the obvious. Next time, maybe just give them cash or an NCL gift card?
