need help changing e-mail address

I recently changed e-mail addresses, but cannot find any way to make that change in my profile. Can someone in tech/admin please help me do this? I tried accessing the help@ccaddress, listed in the 'sticky' on this topic, but I can't get into the system, using my old e-mail address -- which isn't working for me anymore. I know that I've changed e-mail addresses in the past, and had no problem. Please help.

As stated in How to: Change your Cruise Critic Email Address or User Name above:

"If you have a new email address and would like this updated on your profile, please write to help@cruisecritic.com.  Please include both your old and new email in addition to your user name in that email..."

 

You do not change your Cruise Critic email address of record. CC Help Jenn, Senior Community Support Specialist, will be making the change. Just let her know both your old and new email addresses as well as your Cruise Critic user name when sending your email to her.

Host Kat -- my problem is that I cannot access 'help@cruisecritic.com'. When I try, it wants me to sign in with my old e-mail address, which I am having difficulties with -- a big part of why I'm changing it. I cannot get the page to just let me send a message to Host Jenn. Is there any other way I can do that? Maybe using the 'report' function, if I can get that to work??

The help@cruisecritic.com is just her email address. You cannot send any emails to any one?

 

Edited to add:

The Message feature is not activated for members. The only way to contact her directly is an email from your email provider to her email address.

Thanks Host Kat -- I was originally having problems getting the 'welcome to mail' page to accept either my old or new e-mail addresses. But, I think that I got it figured out, and was able to send Host Jenn an e-mail, with both my old and new addresses, as well as my user name. Fingers crossed that it worked! Thanks again for your prompt reply, and suggestions! 😇

I have sent three emails to help@cruisecritic.com to have my email address changed and it has still not been done. I sent one on October 1, 2021, sent one on November 3, 2021 & sent on on December 1, 2021. The email listed doesn't even exist any more as the company went defunct. I'm getting frustrated now. Is there another method to accomplish what should be a simple task of email change.

I understand your frustration. However, changing an email is not that simple as it can be used to hijack an account. For this reason it isn’t a simple change that you can do yourself.

CC Help Jenn, Senior Community Support Specialist, will review your email when she can. I say "when she can" because all e-mails to Cruise Critic are answered in order of receipt. With about two million members sending emails 24/7 from all over the world, please be patient for any action. Also, please remember Administrators work regular weekday business hours and have many, many other job duties too. Especially after all the paid job cuts due to COVID-19. We Hosts are non-paid volunteers that work the boards when our real life permits.

 

I sincerely hope you included both your old Cruise Critic email address of record and your new email address in your email as well as your Cruise Critic user name. All are needed to verify your membership in order for her to help you.

Thanks! I just thought that might be causing a problem in getting your account verified. I know that when I had that job duty as a temp worker for vacationing Admins it would sometimes get me going in circles trying to straighten it out. emo12.gif

I am having the same issue.  I've sent 3 emails (2 were confirmed as being received) starting last December, 2021. 

 

I've recently had to change my email address on over 200 websites, and this one is by far the hardest to get changed.  Most have a simple process of sending me a link which I click and change the address to the new one.  Once it's changed, some will send a verifying email to the new address which I have to respond to in order to confirm the change.
