Casinos?

We will sail on Silhouette on March 7, 2022, for an ABC cruise (plus Grand Cayman and Cartagena). Of course, it remains to be seen if we'll actually get to any or all of these ports. But there are 4 at-sea days on the cruise, which we enjoy. I particularly enjoy the casinos, but with COVID, I was wondering what, if any, distancing or extra precautions are being taken there. I love table games, hate slots, but the table games are usually so closely packed you are almost sitting on each other's laps. Any change to that? Extra spacing? Masks required at tables?

On all the cruises I have been on they have signs on every other slot and gaming table that says do not use.    They also have hand sanitizer at each table and entrances.

To be honest I saw numerous people ignoring the signs and didn't see much enforcement.   Having said that I don't think I ever saw a single person at the craps table and the staff were just standing around.  21 tables seemed to never have more than 2 or 3 players.

Masks not required for guests but all dealers and casino staff are masked.

I don't gamble so my observations were only from walking through the Casino.   I did notice at the Slot Pull Tournaments they were packed in and no distancing at all.      I did play a 5 dollar fee play on the slots but unfortunately I haven't won and re-invested so haven't yet hit Pearl after 20+ years cruising on Celebrity.   Somehow Iain hit Pearl.

We also enjoy the casinos on board. We are currently on the Millennium. The cruise is quite full - as is the casino. We enjoy 3 card poker but we are sitting shoulder to shoulder at the table this weekend.  (We were also on the cruise prior to this one - which was empty - and the tables for that cruise were also empty for the most part.). I wear a mask in the casino but most people do not.
Jim is 100% correct: there is no social distancing enforcement and people often stand right over your shoulder watching.
That said, the slots paid pretty well this cruise and the tables were kind to us too.

Thanks. I'll plan on a reconnaissance trip through the casino before I decide whether to play or not. And I'll be prepared to leave if the table gets too full for my comfort level.

If you're looking for a mask required experience, there are several other lines that now require them everywhere.  We just moved from one of them back to X to get back to a mask free experience (assuming the current protocols are in place in a couple weeks).
