https://www.blackberrycars.com/

https://aquacars.co.uk/ (based in Portsmouth but with drivers based in Southampton)

https://westquaycars.com/southampton-cruise-port-transfers/

All have frequently been used by Cruise Critc members.

Sadly, Smiths for Airports (very popular with cruisers) ceased trading a few weeks ago.

A 12.55 flight should be no problem - most cruise lines suggest not using their ships' transfer coaches for flights before 12.30 or 1.00.

But unless this is a saturday or sunday (when traffic on the route is light,) best to give yourselves that extra little window by opting to disembark unassisted (haul your own luggage from your cabin). That puts you half-an-hour ahead of the herd, plus no lines for immigration etc. .

Most ships are cleared for disembarkation around 7am, with the first tranche of assisted disembarkation from 7.30.

If you opt for unassisted  I suggest a car booked for about 7.15

iIf you don't elect for unassisted and are allocated a late disembarkation time, ask at Customer Services for an earlier slot citing your onward travel arrangements.

Thanks for your great post.   I tried to book with Smith's and saw they were no longer in business last night.

I got 3 quick quotes and though may help others to narrow down search -  My travel is May 7  from Southampton to Terminal 5 Heathrow at 9:00 AM

Blacklane -   200 UKP  Mercedes C Class only Executive type cars

Blackberry -  156 UKP  no car specified

AquaCar  -  Said doesn't have service (I put in City Cruise terminal to Terminal 5 Heathrow)

WestQuay  -    105 UKP - no car specified

The quote from Blacklane (I've never heard of them) is seriously ott.

The quote from Blackberry (good reputation) is also high.

Aquacars have done cruise / airport transfers in the past, might need an e-mail.  I can't check it out without quoting my name / address etc.

But West Quay are long-established & reputable, £105 is reasonable, and being Southampton-based they're not going to get stuck in traffic miles away en-route to your pick-up.

So I'd be inclined to book with them.

We just booked through West Quay Cars.  Downloaded the app and booked online.  They sent confirmation emails.  We are a party of three, so the cost was the same as taking a taxi to the bus station and then the bus to the airport. We booked an Estate Car.   This is so much easier.

We used West Quay from our cruise to/from Southampton, October just gone,  we were very impressed.  Drivers both way were very friendly and we received a text confirming car registration whilst waiting for the car at terminal.  We called as soon as we had collected our luggage and they were there within 5 - 10 minutes.
