Exploring on your own at port?

Does anyone know if you can currently explore on your own at San Juan, St. Thomas and St. Kitts? Or do you have to have a cruise line booked excursion? I'll be cruising end if March. 

Also, in San Juan, does anyone know if they still have the vendors at port selling goods? I always looked forward to that.

The odds are you will not be visiting San Juan in the near future because they have put so many restrictions on port visits that most ships are simply canceling that port, either substituting another port or taking an extra sea day.

 

I Celebrity website lists which ports are available for you to walk around and explore, and which ones require Celebrity shore excursions and they are updating that pretty well.  Situation is so fluid that it changes week by week, even day by day. Just keep watching the Celebrity website and being flexible in your plans

Port restrictions in some places might ease up by the end of March.  Just keep checking.  Exploring Old San Juan on your own is definitely a highlight.
