Excellent news--thanks. Almost anything should be an upgrade over the SS Punta Arenas port experience, especially after disembarkation, starting with an aimless 2 hour "sightseeing" bus tour of a town and surrounding area with very little of interest for the sole purpose of getting you off the ship, followed by a multi-hour wait in a cramped, uncomfortable airport. That experience was the only significant negative of our recent Cloud trip.

Since we were supposed to sail form Ushaiua, How is this going to change the number of landing days? Has anyone heard? Puerto Williams is so much farther north we must be going to lose Antarctica time.

Puerto Williams is actually south east of Ushuaia and I believe you pass it leaving Ushuaia.  I believe some trips have been able to add a stop or drive by of Cape Horn on the return with the additional time.

Nope. I think you're confusing Puerto Williams with Punta Arenas. Punta Arenas is much farther north. Puerto Williams is only about 30 miles down the Beagle Channel from Ushuaia. So it's actually about two hours closer to Antartica than Ushuaia. 😉
