If you are a U.S. citizen, No. You have never needed to test in order to fly to the mainland. Up until last month, hawaii had a safetravels program that required a vaccine or negative test to enter the islands. That has been abandoned. For usa citizens, There are currently zero restrictions coming or going. Hawaii is wide open.

The OP is Canadian. Who know what will be required in Sept?

How embarrassing- I skimmed over the Canadian part. At this time a test is required fur Canadian citizens, but Ias 39august stated, too early to tell what will be required in sept.
